NSCDC parades two suspects over illegal dealings in gas oil

The Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC ), Lagos State Command, Usman Ishaq Alfadarai, yesterday, paraded two persons  suspected to be involved in illegal dealings in petroleum products, particularly, Automotive Gas Oil.

The suspects, 51-year-old Muhammed Issah and 28-year-old Michael Adie, were arrested with adulterated AGO, loaded in a Mercedes Benz short truck, with Reg. No. T – 11957 LA. They were intercepted on February 7, 2023, along Ikate Road, in the Lekki axis of the state, during a routine patrol of the Command’s operatives.
   
Also, on February 8, 2023, the Corps’ operatives also seized Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), wrapped in 20 sacks suspected to be stolen and estimated to be about 2,000 litres at both Lekiti and Ganho creeks of Badagry, respectively during their routine patrol and surveillance operations.

Alfadarai ordered that the suspects and exhibits from both operations be brought to the State Command Headquarters, in Alausa, Ikeja, for further interrogation and investigation, in a bid to bring culprits to book.
    
He further reiterated the command’s resolve and commitment to stamp out vandalism of all oil pipelines, illegal dealings in petroleum products and vandalism of other critical national assets belonging to the government ( s ) in the State.
