Finally, NSCDC Lauches 67 Female Strike Force for Safe School Initiative in Yobe
Commandant Sa’idu Y. Aliyu of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Yobe State Command have successfully launched the Female Strike Force on Friday the 25/11/2022 pursuant to the directive by the indefatigable Commandant General Ahmed Abubakar Audi PhD, mni, OFR earlier given to the 36 State Commands including FCT to launch Female Squad to uphold the Federal government Safe School Initiative, Yobe State Command is not left behind where 67 gallant female officers were trained on different techniques to combat crimes.
During the training, the Female Strike Force were exposed to rescue missions operations, Combatant drill and weapon handling, recce/reconnaissance operations and tips to halt the menace of Sexual Gender Base Violence (SGBV) amongst others.
The participants spent the vigorous period of 3 months to learned the aforesaid techniques under the tutoring of well drafted instructors from our Command, Nigerian Army and Nageria Correctional Service.
The event was graced by the dignitaries from all works of life, notable among them are the representative of H.E the Executive governor of Yobe State Alhaji Mai Mala Buni Senior Special Assistant on Security affairs DCP Zannah Babagana (rtd) and Heads of Federal government Agencies and Parastatals.
Commandant Sa’idu Aliyu through his deputy enjoined the Female Strike Force while on the field to strictly adhere to the rules of engagements, because accidental discharge is not known in the Civil Defence Standard Operational Procedure (SOP).
The POP was concluded with a good will messages and advices from the invited guest.
