Federal Commissioner, National Population Commission (NPC), Dr. Abdulmalik Mohammed Durunguwa, has paid a courtesy visit to the Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kaduna Command, Idris Yahaya Ada, to solicit his support in the forthcoming 2023 National Population Census across the state.
Dr. Abdulmalik, who was there in company of his entourage, said he was in the office to solicit for the support of the Command, in ensuring the success of the forthcoming population census, while noting that, the forthcoming 2023 population census would not be successful without the assistance of security operatives.
He further stated that, “With the successful census in place, there would be rapid growth and development of the country.
“As a federal organization, we owed ourselves a duty to familiarize ourselves, so that we can be able to work together to make Nigeria proud,” he said.
He thanked the Commandant for the support they have been receiving from the Corps, which has helped them tremendously.
Responding, the Commandant, Idris Yahaya Adah, said part of the NSCDC mandate is the protection of lives and property, protection of critical national assets and infrastructure, adding that it’s also their mandate to support and protect NPC when the need arises.
