The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps(NSCDC) Kaduna State Command, said its operatives have arrested five suspected vandals in Pambegua area of Kubau Local Government Area of the state.
The NSCDC State Commandant, Mr Idris Adah, stated this at a news briefing on Friday in Kaduna.
Adah said the suspects were arrested on Sept 23, during a routine patrol in the area.
According to him, the suspects confessed to vandalising a transformer at Pambegua General Hospital and stole armoured cables of another transformer before they were nabbed.
“They also confessed to having been involved in vandalising street lights and solar panels in Pambegau and environs.
The commandant said that items recovered from the suspects included high tension and armoured cables, street lights and solar panels.
Adah said that some of their accomplices who were still at large were being hunted.
“We will get them in no time, so that they can also face the full wrath of the law,” the NSCDC boss vowed.
Adah said that the suspects would be charged to court upon the conclusion of ongoing discreet investigation.
