NSCDC, ALPSPN Train Private Security Operatives, Supervisors

Association of licensed private security practitioners of Nigeria (ALPSPN) in collaboration with the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) has organized a three- day training for security operatives and supervisors in Kano state.

In his opening remark, Commandant NSCDC Kano State Command, Adamu Idris Zakari said it is the Corps mandate to ensure all organizations who are operating private guards companies in the country to be certified, cleared as well as licensed by NSCDC.

Zakari urged the participants to make use of knowledge to be acquired during the training and also transfer same to their colleagues in various organizations.

On his part, Chairman of the association of licensed private security practitioners of  Nigerian, Kano state chapter, Kabiru Nasiru Isah said the training was aimed at building the capacity and enhancing the productivity of the security operatives and supervisors.

He noted that the participants need to understand the basic of first aid, fire-fighting techniques, principles of access control and patrol on duty, as well as understanding the principles of self-defense, protection from invasion and aggression while on duty and many more.

Ibrahim Garba , one of the trainees expressed happiness over the opportunity to participate in the training and promised to put to use the knowledge acquired in the program.

Also, another participant, Pamela Daniel said that she has high expectation in the training, so as to be able to perform more better in her official activities.
