Newly promoted officers of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps-NSCDC in Kaduna State have been charged to brace up for the tasks ahead.
Commandant General of the Corps, Dr Abubakar Ahmed Audi gave the charge at the decoration ceremony of some newly promoted officers held at the Kaduna State Command headquarters.
Dr Ahmed Audi who was represented by ACG Mohammed Lawal Haruna also charged the officers to reciprocate the gesture by being firm and resolute in view of the prevailing security challenges bedevilling the country.
The Commandant General urged other officers who were not promoted to keep hope alive as their time would soon come.
Earlier, State Commandant of the Corps, Mr Idris Adah congratulated the newly promoted officers and charged them to see their promotion as a wake up call for higher responsibilities in their career.
He also charged them to justify the gesture by re-dedicating themselves to duty.
DSC Adama Lawal, who spoke on behalf of other promoted officers expressed delight and pledged to work harder in their service to fatherland.
