THEATRE COMMANDER OPHK COMMISSIONS INFRASTRUCTURAL PROJECTS IN GIWA BARRACKS

The Theatre Commander, Major General Christopher Musa has on Friday, 29 July 2022 commissioned a Borehole Water System at 21 Special Armoured Brigade Medical Reception Station (MRS) as well as a newly renovated Brigade Commander’s Guest House in Giwa Barracks.

In his remarks, the Theatre Commander lauded the Commander 5 Brigade, Brigadier General GO Olorunyomi for embarking on projects geared towards improving the welfare of the barracks community. In his address to barrack women, he encouraged the entire barrack community to imbibe good maintenance culture and utilize the project appropriately.

While assuring the public of the military’s commitment and resilience in ending the war against terrorism, Maj Gen Musa urged barrack women to continue to support their spouses and the military in general. In his words he said, “your support means a lot to us, at most times it is our primary morale booster and the knowledge of it keeps us going and pushing hard”.

Highlight of the event was the visit to the MRS, assessment tour of the barracks, presentation of plaquea and cash donation to barrack women.
