The Executive Governor of Plateau State, Simon Lalong ably represented by the Deputy Governor Prof. Sonni Tyoden was present at the Passing out Parade of the Newly Recruited Personnel of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, the Governor commended the Commandant General, Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, for the successful Training of the New Recruits saying the negative trend currently bedeviling the Nation must not be allowed to strive in the State as the State Government is ready to collaborate with security operatives to put an end to this menace.
The Governor pledges that his administration is ready to motivate and assist the NSCDC in the task of securing Plateau State and it’s environs because of the importance attached to the safety of lives and property of it’s citizens.
The Plateau State Commandant, Alexandar Bissa Barunde also said with the Security challenges currently facing the country call for a need to mobilize energy, resources, human capacity, partnership and high level collaboration involving traditional institutions and grass root based security intelligence management. He also charged the Newly Recruited personnel of the oath of secrecy and subjecting them to prepare themselves for fewer friends and regulated lifestyle.
Commandant Alexander Barunde also said they will be deployed and receives specialized training in counter terrorism, tactical weapon maneuver ability, strike force and special intelligence squad amongst others.
The event was attended by heads of security agencies in the state as well as families, friends and well wishers of the recruits
