Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Delta State Command has given a 15-day ultimatum to owners of two abandoned trucks on its premises in Asaba to submit themselves for prosecution or forfeit trucks and the goods therein.

The command’s spokesman, DSC Emeka Peters, in a statement made available to newsmen in Asaba, recalled that an order of interim forfeiture was made on May 13, 2022, by a Federal High Court in Warri, in respect of the two abandoned trucks: SUL 484 XA and NNR 152 XA parked on the premises of the NSCDC, Delta State Command in Asaba.

The statement reads: “The general public is hereby notified that failure of the owner(s) of the aforementioned trucks to submit themselves for prosecution within 15 days of this publication, the said order shall become absolute.

“NSCDC is not for war but for a peaceful rebirth of Nigeria, proactive enough to prevent and forestall the unexpected, which is far better than any professional prescription to cure, rescue or ameliorate any unfortunate circumstances.”
